An adventurous journey through verdant parks, museums and exiting discoveries conceived for children and their families. Are you ready?
Orto Botanico. A true natural treasure set right in the historic center. With its greenhouses, ponds, pathways and staircases, Siena's botanical gardens are the only terraced ones in Italy and extend all the way down to the 14th-century walls of the city.
Orto de’ Pecci. Five minutes on foot from Piazza del Campo, this park is located in a valley overlooking the city. Children will be delighted to see the goldfish pond and the pen with goats, a donkey and peacocks. No pens for the ducks and geese, which are free to roam around at their leisure!
Museo di Storia Naturale. Fossils, rocks and minerals; a section devoted to animals and the universe; and last but not least, an underground labyrinth.
Bambimbus – Museo d’arte per bambini. This museum designed for children is centrally located in Piazza Duomo. Grouped according to subject, the works it houses date from the ancient times to our days and consist of paintings on canvas and on wood, photos, videos, sculptures and installations.
